Why I like poetry

untitled-infogr_8246592_716d6c00cc94e5e5ee9ddf3fa5fc987fbe23ed06

Not everyone has love for poetry but the chances that one has love for beauty is comparatively higher as beauty is what everyone loves to see. Beauty can be a young woman or a simple blade of green grass dancing in thin air.

Beauty is the loveliest thing that our eyes are trained to see. It is natural and it gives us a sense of seeing things in its completeness. It is the completeness where things become alive and voiceless tree finds words through the throbs of a poet.

It is the sense of poetry that makes the heart so important and every lover falls in love through heart and gets kissed off the relation from the heart ache. Although all such coherences of thought are made up in brain.

Poetry is an idea, an unborn baby existing in the wombs of its mother’s brain that comes through the heart and then surfaces through words. It is the total sum of your experience, fallacy and the wanton desires that cherish in the bud of your heart and heart ache.

It is a form of mediation and it is an ointment over the arid experiences and over the unspoken pangs of life. It is also a rain of beautiful feelings. It is chilling breeze of romantic whiff. It is the test of loving something or someone through words. It is the medium for conveying emotions from one heart to another.

It is the testimonial of human sufferings and the deep generated pathos where human cries like an insect and bleeds like butterfly. These metaphors have the oceanic capacity to surmount the range of his emotions.

It is a channel of humour, a human spirit which brings joy and baths with the spring of the goodness.

Poetry is actually a map of your personal internal world that comes out in the shape of poem through words but it is a picture of your gamut of human experiences and inner voices. If one likes to read a person like a book then they should read his or her poetry and the reflection of creativity will soon find a place of their unmatched self-image in his or her words.

It is the vibrant image of one’s life and it is the true traveling of one’s heart and emotion which are touching every sphere of one’s life.

Poetry is not a collection of lovely words but a fine recollection of memories and the closest image of one’s soul.

Poetry reading is like a lovely exploration of one’s finest youth and adolescent joy which is under a microscope and filtered with finest sense of humanity/mortality.

Does Writing A Novel Get Easier Over Time?

untitled-infogr_8246592_06ab96a3dd641c3adb99af5689827ae14bd9962c

Writing is never an easy game played between thoughts and words. No matter how good a writer you are but when you start to write you must start from the beginning.

Writing means you have to think first clearly about everything then open your mind with your pen.

You never know while writing how one thought suddenly links with another and writing takes new turn and a different shape. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn’t but you will know only after writing the full length of your thought.

This always makes writing a challenge.

Sometimes you can end up with satisfactory write-ups and sometimes you need to thoroughly go through the whole length of thought again.

The mental stress is very natural. As a writer you need to take several incidences into consideration, sometimes not from one particular person but from several others and then work on them to make one character.

This character is your brain child.

Imagination is the most powerful tool that takes you away from your actual characters and gradually it helps in making a new character. Like that you have to make several characters, dialogue, monologues, sometimes new city and its architectures in just one novel.

You always have to wait and explain the behavior, dialogues, incidences and its effects first to yourself as this all is your own created stuff and not any actual incidence which you are writing.

Sometime when you write only then you get to know that there is something missing or there is some missing links that needs to be revised again. It is like a process of filtering and penetrating deeper and finding the right logic that can help you to get the desire write-up.

Writing is never easy. One has to be always on toes, to think and rethink and when your thoughts and imagination start getting shape only then your words start coming on paper or laptop. This whole process takes a lot of mental energy and a lot of time, sometimes it swallows many of your years too.

Once you have finished your first novel and you have come out of the tunnel of your imagination you need to think about the promotion of your novel.

Again for the second novel you have to go into the dark tunnel of your imagination, linking some actual incidences with some imaginative one. Again you have to repeat the whole process of learning all of your characters, their individual style, tone and mannerism.

With your first novel you have succeeded to reach your audience. Now they have read you and now know about you so now you also have added-on pressure in your mind from the first novel readers.

Your writing process is a mysterious one and each time you have to get some new, more challenging writing and develop more complex characters with more engaging ideas and thoughts.

As you move more with your story the characters must have the ability to show the complex behaviour of human being. They can be good or bad human being but that element of uniqueness must be there to make the story more interesting to readers.

Writing is not a work of formula based recipe of a syrup to get the exact level of taste, colour and mixture no matter how many times you try.  Writing is very different. It has no formula as it deals with human and its behaviours.

As we know human is what its environment is. Which incidences are influencing its mind the most? Before writing a writer has to know all and then what he does to make his brain child is a tedious process.

Readers are again the most difficult lot who are very mysterious and confusing creatures and matching their whims and fancies is never easy. The intelligent readers have same level of involvement in your story and along with that their fallacies and expectations are also revolving around your characters and story. The moment you miss to link them you are gone. You can possible lose your readers which directly affects your pocket.

Good thing is that rough sea makes you a better Sheller. The more challenge you have in your writing the better seasoned writer you will become.

Writing is a slow process but marketing is a dynamic one. You always have to come up with your best as there is always a chance of losing your market.  If your book flops then you can miss your agent, publisher, readers or fans.

Logically your whole business of writing depends on these elements and so you will never be in position to lose. After burning your mid night oil and after a long struggle of living in dark tunnels of several years you have secured this position.

How can outline help you in making your book

untitled-infogr_8246592_8ae8b2c1d6e2669627dd07d69ab2caac82cc3553

Writing a book is all about your creativity and planning. If you have planned well then soon your creativity will lead you to finish your book within your time frame or it helps you not go away from your story or plot of your book.

It is very important to first make an outline of your book. Indeed there is no fixed or a correct way to outline your book but by doing so you always stay focused on where your book is headed to and you never stray away from the plot.

I mostly write one or two lines so I can remember which chapter deals with which topic so if I get any new idea in my mind then I know exactly where I can place it.

Each line is like a folder and scattering my ideas into different folders helps me in arranging my ideas.

At some point, we all must depend on some research work and at that time it helps to know exactly where these researches can be placed.

Outlining is the best way to keep track of your work.

If your mind suddenly finds anything interesting for your book and you need to change and add something new, then at that time these outlines help you in advance to see that one single change can affect this many chapters.

Suppose I want to add a fresh chapter in the middle of my book. But sometimes it needs an introduction in the beginning then the outline helps you to know exactly where to add the introduction.

It often happens to me that I first image my whole book and then gradually start breaking my ideas into smaller chapters and then I feel to introduce some new characters and then sometimes my assumed end of the book gets filtered by new ideas and it also alters. During this time my outline definitely helps me a lot.

Once I decide that I am working on a new book then my mind is always busy. In fact the brain faculty of reticular activating system (RAS) is working on it. RAS is a very important part of brain that works on areas where we are not consciously focused like our breathing, sleeping, waking and beating of our heart. It is basically the part of the brain that works when we aren’t. So my RAS plays a very vital role in writing.

The Mind maps the whole book and then it is very easy to outline the book and then work according to it.

Once you have made the outline then you can easily see where different parts are headed to and getting connected to one another, and get a sense of how it all fits together. If this picture is clear then life is definitely easier.

Thinking and writing process

untitled-infogr_8246592_ee5257aed98b6d9de23b0112e1396f7a2515fa8e

People can write for several reasons but trying to write when you want to clear your mind and have a critical thinking is a skill and a very useful way to address your worries and hold your sanity.

It is very true that everyone has their own cross to bear but for many of us problem in life goes to a level where mind suddenly stops functioning and body seems paralyzed and person is facing depression and suddenly has no clue how to get back to life again.

Yes, such problems are very complex in nature and hard to get out of. One has to find ways to deal with this situation and writing is one the best ways. All writers somehow try to express themselves in their stories so anyone can take help in writing.

Your writing can open new channels and it can help you to understand your problem as if it is not yours but of a character that you are writing about. Then it becomes easier to understand your situation in much better way. Indeed, it is very good way to clear your mental cobweb and writing also helps your critical thinking.

Critical thinking is an ability to organize your mind and drop all the ideas and struggles in different mental boxes and then analyze them correctly so that you can get to the point of decision making.

Critical thinking is a subject to be taught one in your grammar class and it is not only writing about any given situation but it is all about the analysis. Writing helps in jotting all the possibilities and ideas at one place and judging the situation and using your best ability is all that really matters.

Reading is very good exercising that helps as it opens before you the seasoned writers who while understanding their characters and situation address some new ideas and discover various logics and arguments that help in smoothing the story and hold the interest of the readers.

The best benefit of reading is that you learn how others think. In fact, writing is all about thinking. If you think then you can write so it is very important to think clearly. Clear thinking comes after having a full knowledge of the situation, factors influencing that situation and the nature of characters involved in it.

A writer always flows in emotions but he also judges his characters by facts. In the light of facts his situation evokes and then he gradually relates things with his writing and draws a whole story or a novel.

Several times a writer also feels to go with his feeling and sympathies for his character or characters but it weakens his story and storytelling craft so it is very important for him to tighten his feelings, opinions and judgement and allow the story to move on as it should.

A story always finds its natural end. A writer always analyzes it with very careful thoughts and in thorough manner being fully detached from all his characters. This detachment is the key that helps in differentiating the facts from opinions. A writer knows well which elements need consideration and before going further ahead he works hard to consider one fact or incidence under different perspectives which helps him in revealing potential danger of pursuing certain decision.

In fact, every story has a conflict like our life does and mostly one leads to another and character’s individual interest often creates dangerous situations where the most infected character reaction can make everything go from bad to worst like we find in our daily life.

Writing helps you in learning about new things and conditions you to stop taking your first step in the direction where you could be forced to head towards the worst. In life too, we have several people around us with different interest and they can change with temptation of benefit and interest.

Learning is always a slow process and learning about a person always requires time, facts and critical thinking. It aims at securing the best possibility in any given situation. It also involves the assessment of your personal strengths, weaknesses and clear vision about the future where a good decision could lead you as a character or individual.

The first draft of a novel

untitled-infogr

A writer’s mind is like a kaleidoscope where images and ideas keep on coming and changing so it is never easy to fix as which idea can be transformed into a beautiful work of writing and enjoyable experience for the readers.

A writer is always travelling in his mind and several images keep on supporting and distracting him and gradually from within all these characters appear and he starts with his first draft of writing.

His initial first draft is like the first sketch book of a beautiful person, group or a place but his first draft is good only for him. A writer then starts exploring what are the other possibilities and avenues which can help in making and developing this character or idea where he is focusing.

A good writing is one that has been explored very impeccable in advance before coming to its reader. Story must have different layers; it must be dealing with some important questions and a complete avenue to explore it and with a fool-proof answer. This forms the best idea which then will get translated into one of best writing works.

Readers always want to go with your character and then grow with his problems and first they try to solve everything with their own imagination but as a writer you ought not to give the readers so much time. They should get no time to escape from the net of your imagination. All your hooks should be so strongly pulled that a reader is just exploring and flowing with the rush of your flow.

A writer always knows the readers for whom he is writing. What purpose does his writing solves. How far he can put his readers into the shoes of his characters and make them convinced that they should read. There must be something which keeps the interest of the readers alive.

There can be some chances that reader’s mind catches some questions too and as a writer you must be prepared and keep them busy in your own way of logic and situations so the readers just forget their questions and flow with you and at the end find all the questions properly answered.

Story telling is an art as every human has a story but extracting the story is not easy as there are several incidences that keep on happening in life and their influence also help in shaping one’s nature. It is not easy to remove everything else, get the story, run the imagination over it and engage the reader.

A writer has to do a lot of research and have a basic understanding about human nature and their psychological behaviors. He needs to apply a lot of reasoning and analysis that helps in creating a story and set it on a unique craft that can hold the readers till the end of his book. Certainly after reading writer’s best work the readers want to read all the range of his books.

This whole process right from the selecting a character to bringing it out of your imagination and adding craft and creativity makes a writing a very tedious and troublesome work. But artists can’t live without their art. One always finds a way to sharpen his abilities and express the voices that goes fine with others and this makes a writer popular.

Sipping wine at Twist with Randip Dhingra

untitled-infogr_7986051_f4496f77f797916bb97a246f71477454df5db89e

Sometimes we meet someone unplanned and suddenly that moment becomes valuable. Such is the moment when I meet Mr. Randip Dhingra who has just started his new venture – Twist, a family wine and dine restaurant at Cyber Hub. I am sure that his name needs no introduction as people know him well for his fine taste in wine.

As Indian culture is amalgamating itself with wine culture of foreign inherent so I buzz with him that if a greenhorn likes to have a wine then what would Randip suggest to him. He smiles first, then start to talk. In India we are young about the taste buds of wine. We are mostly teaching ourselves with blogs, magazines and talk but when something is about the taste then taste and experience. Wine is all about taste. It is all about opening yourself to share and experience the wine, its fine aroma, its taste, its color and the pleasure of learning something new.

Wine is simple. It is complex. It is simple in taste but complex in experiencing. Your taste bud has not experienced the wine earlier so you have no idea what it is all about. You first sip and then try to identify the flavor you find there. People mostly enjoy the fruity taste as it is familiar to them.

Gradually by repeating the same wine your palate learns the taste and now you know one wine. This is the time to try another wine and then another. When you try you will learn a new kind of wine. Try this time any dry or crispy. This will help you to differentiate between the taste and here starts your new experience with wine.

It is always advisable to start with the low cost wine. It will help you learn a lot. When you start with low budget your pocket will definitely smile and you will feel good as you experiment with some economical wines.

In India, tax on wine is too high so it is good to start with some Indian brands. Now India is also making its presence in the first world. It is also developing its market and exporting a lot. Here in India we have some vineyards too so it is a fun to visit them and see how wine is made and which grapes are available and which types of wine are possible to grow here.

It also sets you to think about the factors that constitute a good wine; I mean the soil, the climate, and the grapes varieties. You will gradually find you have enriched yourself with a lot of information.

As your information and the inclination towards wine increases soon you will love to taste more. Your taste buds are the best teacher who supports you to learn faster.

There are some countries whose wine one must taste, especially France. French wine is expensive but when you have started with the economical wine then you will definitely relish the expensive ones and soon learn the difference.

Indeed wine is very vast area that requires a lot of patience, time and money. Here in India there are some institutes that offer good level of information but it is always good to develop your own taste by tasting.

Writer’s overview

untitled-infogr_8246592_9ef00e1ced9e9dfb195c69caee5d2135f2f265ef

There’s a reader for every book. No matter what you write but all that really matters is how you write. At the beginning when you start writing your new novel you don’t need to worry about anything except those points, dialogues, and incidences coming in your mind. Gradually these things will help you in making the map of your book.

Once your first draft is ready and you think that you have included all the points, dialogues and incidences then start self-editing. This process is very important. It helps you not just to shave your penny but also helps you to have better insight into your novel and its plot and craft.

No matter how many books you have read on book craft and plotting but your book is different. It has its own set of rules and it will go only according to that. Indeed, those techniques, rules and craft which you have read in those books will help you. So you’d better keep them in mind but don’t rely on them right now. First look deep into your story, what it says and write what best you feel.

Soon you will see that your story is getting filtered one draft after another. There is no hurry if your story needs ten or more drafts or it asks you to change your whole idea, as you can see your story better. Yes, it will make you crazy but trust me you are capable to rewrite it thousand times only because you are capable.

As you are sure that your manuscript is ready and all is set at your level now look for an editor. Let him work. Let him get mad at you. Trust me when he will send your manuscript in rainbow colors, simply you will feel crazy but this is what the reality is.

Refresh your mind and restart your work and start polishing all the unpolished.  Your editor seems your dreaded enemy but this is what you have hired him for. This is his job. He knows his work well. Trust him and work further.

If lucky your editor will soon show you the green flag. Normally we go with two types of editors: 1. Line editor & 2. Copy editor. Then there comes the role of a proofreader.

It is just one phase of work which is complete. Now comes the marketing, branding and the best ways of reaching your readers.

Writers often think that there is something like one book wonder and want to see their book on the bestseller list. No, it never happens for every writer. In the writing carrier your patience will definitely pay off, the list of readers and followers will very gradually grow with the number of your books.

Areas where physiotherapy can relieve your aches and pains

by Ankita Aakriti

untitled-infogr_7986051_cdb96a492622c17cfea81d216be5a3370bfac059

Generally people believe that physiotherapy is nothing more than massage or chiropractic therapy but with modern medical equipment and treatments physiotherapy is more than that. It does not just remove the muscular tension but also curtails future problems. It starts showing results within a few visits at physiotherapy clinic. In short, there are some conditions and diseases where physio treatment is proved as the best option.

Knees problem: A research found that osteoarthritic knees can be better treated by the right combination of medication and physiotherapy. We look at the whole picture of the bone and muscles movement. Our biomechanical assessment helps in looking at everything from muscle tightness to weakness to how joints move; if they move too much or too little. This gives us the right picture and based on that we decide the right course of action which includes exercises to calm the inflamed joint or muscle or other factors which are creating this problem.

Breathing Problems: There are patients with asthma or sleep apnea who can be treated best by the cardiovascular physiotherapists. They can try breathing control exercise. It helps in improving the mobility of chest and neck muscles through stretching and strengthening programs.

Relieve from chronic pain: By strengthening the muscles that surround painful joints or muscles a physiotherapist can ease chronic pain. There was a study with osteoporosis patient who was suffering from the chronic pain due to spinal compression fractures whom a 10 weeks of physiotherapy designed program was given and found improvement in her life.

Obesity problems: As the weight of the body increases, person’s walking style gets influenced and it gets changed. Normally all weight goes on our feet as well as on physical backbone of our body. We help the patient by designing personalized exercise programs that solve the overloaded joints.  We also treat sore knees and tendonitis through traditional physiotherapy techniques.  Sometime a good deal of problem is solved by helping the patient in selecting the right shoes with the right support and conditioning for sedentary patients to move again. Such simple things can be applied for the patients whose mobility has declined due to aging or the side effects of chemotherapy.

Back pain Problems: We often unknowingly sit in a wrong posture and that results into muscles strain and pain. Nowadays the problem of arthritis is also greatly increasing and this too causes back pain. Of course the treatment will depend on the causes of the problem and source of the problem, but some common principles also need to apply such as weight management (to reduce stress on joints), muscle strengthening (to improve mobility and reduce recurrence) and re-patterning of muscles. That means changing of all the muscles coordination involved in that particular area which can be rightly done by a series of dynamic exercises. There are about two dozen muscles in and around the lower back that really matter. Strengthening them all really benefits the patient.

Make your physiotherapist your good friend and help them to help you better.

Thigh gaps

untitled-3

Thigh gaps are not a new concept. We can say it is as old as the history of attraction towards the young slim girls. Fashion industry has made it as a scale of measurement.

It is a measurement of the thinnest of a girl. When a slim girl is in the buff or in her panties or a dress that allows the gap to be visible automatically it will be cynosure and accentuating for the eyes. Actually thigh gap is a gap between the inner thighs while standing straight with knees touching.

It is basically a matter of fact whether you have or you don’t have. This gap has largely to do with your bone structure and so it can’t be changed. No diet or gym can help you to have.

For long it has been considered as an idea of beauty and femininity. It was once a barometer for models or thin young girls but gradually it has become public.

Now young girl, who loves to be slim, loves to have thigh gap. It is just a way to look and feel sexy. It is accentuating to the eyes. We can see it better while girl is wearing skin tight Jeans or skinny Jeans, in her swimming suit, in her yoga pants or camel toes leggings.

Thigh gaps have always made its name in the gossip and fashion magazines. Robyn Lawley, a plus size Australian model who is a pin up model for magazines like MAXIM and GQ Australia, had revealed in an interview that she was once called hefty because of not having thigh gap.

In an interview she said: ‘I’ve been trying to do just the opposite,’ she explained. ‘I want my thighs to be bigger and stronger. I want to run faster and swim longer. I suppose we all just want different things, but women have enough pressure as it is without the added burden of achieving a “thigh gap.”‘ Then she added: ‘The last thing I would want for my future daughter would be to starve herself because she thought a “thigh gap” was necessary to be deemed attractive.’

It is found that due to these thigh gaps young girls and women have suffered a lot and starved themselves just to look slim. That has the worst effect on their body, mind and have created eating disorders and bad lifestyle.

It is very important to know that all legs are shaped differently. They can be A, O and X shaped. It is found very often that if your legs are slightly “O” shaped you have wider thigh gaps.

The beauty does not lie in thigh gaps but depends on several other things too. Be healthy and love your body no matter you have thigh gaps or not.

How one feels in long distance relationship

untitled-info1

Life is coming to the laptop and mobile and people are coming more on social sites for personal and professional reasons. No matter what reason brings you here but human communication always finds ways for developing intimacy and closeness. As your relationship starts getting some personal space then you like to wait for him / her and you open the door of your heart and allow others to enter.

This kind of relationship is possible everywhere and it can be also virtual as two people are living and work at two different countries or it can be possible that intimacy grows so strong that both decide to live together and get married.

Possibility is always high and low. It is possible like we find in real life relationship that one gets more inclination and other is still waiting. Other is still trying his / her luck at some more places but intimacy is something that allows a great space and which is not possible to find anywhere else so one will like to get back to the place where one is more comfortable.

After years of having my personal experience I would like to share how one feels once a bonding has grown stronger and intimacy is developed; however the relation still has to wait for the best day to hold each other in arms.

It is an unmatched feeling to see your loved one right in your arms and then begin your love life like a real one. But when two hearts have become intimate and still they need to wait then at some point of the time one has to feel what exactly it feels like being in long distance relationship.

  1. You will feel as you have something to tell. Whenever you get a moment you send a message or a mail into the inbox.
  2. You often feel how good it were if I could share this moment or any occasion with him / her. This feeling grows very strong when on any occasion you need to be a couple.
  3. Face tells a lot about the mood and so it is possible to make error in judgement about the other’s bad mood.
  4. Sometime you need to change your meetings because you want to spend a quality time with your long-distance relationship.
  5. It sometimes makes you feel as if you are living in a dream as the person is never present with you in real but he/she is all yours and none understands you better than him / her.
  6. This relationship is a gift in bad days because you can unwind your mind by writing and this gives you a lot of time to think and rethink and be careful about your words. It helps your relation to grow stronger.
  7. In a long distance you have a better chance of getting reminder about the important dates like birthday so you have time to correct your mistake
  8. In long distance relationship there is often complaining that one is not reading the other.
  9. Long distance helps in paying extra attention to your loved one.
  10. Sometimes having faith on others looks like foolishness.
  11. In long distance relationship you can be always connected with him/ her through your gadgets.
  12. It is really bitter to miss him / her when you need the physical presence like you are physically ill and you need him/ her to take care of you.
  13. There is no need to measure the distance of land or air after all one is present with you on your gadget.
  14. In long distance relationship your excitement is all the time high. You love to show each day things like what you are wearing and how good you look.
  15. Long distance love is crazy and only crazy people know the fun of having this relationship.
  16. It is fun to have and you can live better.

Long distance relationship is now very common however many still feel that it can’t match the real one. But there is nothing like real or virtual when you can find love and get married and live happily.
