Insight into life of a writer

8

Life and living is not a piece of cake especially when one chooses to be a writer. A writer doesn’t write only for money. Money is just means to support his writing and better living. But a writer is always concerned about his writing and improving it the best way he can.

A writer is always busy. He is living two lives at a same time. He is living his life as well as the life of his character. In fact, he lives several lives only because many novel characters are under progress and living inside him. He is obsessed with his characters and the world where his characters are living. At one point of time even if he dreams something, he tries to figure out how one of his characters could choose to dream and like to react.

A writer is always connected with his characters. Something is always going on in his mind. It is really very difficult for any other person to understand how suddenly he becomes sad or happy like a child.

It is no wonder he can sit in front of his laptop for hours and even though he writes nothing, he is busy working. He hardly gets time to come out of his imaginative characters. He meets real people, visits real places but he always thinks about how he can connect it to his imaginative people and place.

A writer is a person who uses his negative as well as his positive energy to write. It is a tool to go into his character. Negativity affects him badly. He often fears from the unknown future probably because he knows how in life one mistake can collapse the whole building.

Writing is not arranging one word after another. It is like collecting dreams and bringing them on the surface of reality. It is work like transforming a world into a work of art. Writing has a discipline and a writer has to maintain it. But this discipline has very thin and vague presence in a writer’s life which is very difficult to analyze.

A writer lives his life as his characters. He looks at his problem as his characters. He tries to find solution not just for himself but for his character too.  Life always brings strange situations and it also teaches how one chooses to handle it. Indeed, sometimes someone can miss to handle the situation, but writer has another chance to rectify it and make it good in his work.

Writer never fears from complications. It enables him to weave his plots, understand situations and options his character can choose. As the character develops and gains maturity, a writer watches how the character likes to exploit his resources to get out of it.

Writers have different timing and different convent zone which we call genre. In fact, it is his personal exposure to life. Some like to write romance, thriller, paranormal, etc. It is always their choice. It is always backed by their believes and experiences.

Every writer has unique timing of writing. Some writers start writing at 2:00 AM and other may go to sleep by 4:00 A.M. There is also no surety that page or screen could not be blank. It can be blank. This happens with me too. I write nothing but just wait and after a long I leave my laptop and go to sleep. It happens. It can happen to any writer.

A writer is trying to see his things with his own eyes. He talks as we talk with others in his head. He works in no time frame and finishes his work at his own time.

A writer also has a family. He also loves to be with them but sometime it becomes next to impossible to be in the gathering.  It is difficult whom to answer and whom to convince that you a writer at soul and your soul is always with your story.  Indeed, sometimes storm leaves nothing at its place, relations seem difficult but have faith that the other loves you too and understands you better.

Writing is a work in solitude

7Everyone who loves writing wants to be a novelist, poet, journalist or someone who can be remembered for his words. This is the addictive idea that persuades a person to become a writer.

No wonder everyone wants to be an immortal like William Shakespeare, Dostoevsky, Thomas Hardy, Charles Dickens, O Henry, Maupassant, Leo Tolstoy, Summerset Maugham, D. H Laurence and many such noted names.

Well, these are the names a child hears during his school days and their works are introduced and taught in the class. Soon they become his ideal and unknowingly a child dreams to be a writer. He doesn’t know what path he is choosing and what does a writer mean. He knows only what his soft heart have perceived.

This idea grows with him, each day and each night, and that makes him a very different person altogether. He becomes inquisitive to know more about the complex human nature and he starts to enjoy the supply of good stories which have some interesting characters and gradually he starts to find some around him too.

He starts to believe that this world which one calls a reality is also a dream of open eyes where sometimes incidence jostles us so strongly that we lose everything and we start to learn new things, same as we read in books that there is a new beginning after each end.

He learns that story has legs. It has power to regrow and motivate us to live. He learns that life is always backed by stories, folklores and poetry. Writing is just a magic to enter into a mind of a human and see and feel one.

Story is everywhere. Life is made up of stories. It is deep within us. It is in our DNA.

Every story is once an incidence and gradually incidences after incidences story comes before us and imagination covers these all into a new world where words are the most powerful supply of life.

Every novel which is written is based on some reality. Writer looks for a minute and works long within his mind. Imagination and creativity develop a small incidence into a great story like a spark can erupt into a volcano.

Writing is an obsession. It is a way to see this is untrodden path of life which needs to be redefined, summarized, expressed and answered back.

Writing is a journey of going into the unknown which is unknown until it is all finally written. It encircles the heart, soul and body of a human, his total behavior and social environment where one learn to live. This suitable pack of world is a part of this world and imagination to go beyond and in search of better living, for better tomorrow and betterment of human.

Writing is just a way of life and writer lives within his characters and never realizes how all this makes his life cut off from his own people with whom he wants to live forever.

Writers’ life is like a child’s heart, always inquiring and inquisitive to learn something new. A child never realizes when he has grown and life dissolved and disappeared into books and he is always in a book drunken state and living and learning all in its intoxicating influence.

He never realizes that he is no more a child and his childhood is lost somewhere in the deep forest of writing and books and the toughest facts which he now has to understand and live is the pain to live in solitude as a result of his pray to be a writer.

In fact, writing is not an art but a pain to live alone for the rest of the life without caring that one can be paid for his words, without thinking about who may like to taste the ripen fruit of exceptional mind.

The very idea to be a writer is a merit to communicate with the world and himself without actually taking the risk to actual talking with anyone around you. It is a merit to speak loud in desert where hardly anyone is seen. It is a communication to the stranger who is also looking for solitude like yours as a reader and wants to share and fill their solitude with yours.

Writing is a communication where finger succeeds over tongue and things are so descript that only true silence can go deep within the lines and see the world growing, building or moving just to throw words that are ranging our emotions.

Writing is just a way to enter into a world of others and drawing other into your world which is not a child’s play but a power of solitude which develops and speaks out loud only in silence and comes through writing.

A child is taught in school and his entire life goes on teaching him the one lesson he learnt and makes him practice.

Pros and cons of being a writer

75

If loneliness is accredited to writer’s life then why do they write? After all loneliness is no good and there is a difference between aloneness and loneliness.  You can check your feelings and find you are alone but you are not feeling lonely. To simplify you can say that aloneness is a physical term when you find that there is no one around you and so you are alone. On the other hand, Loneliness means a feeling of suffering. You have people around you and you are willing to interact with them but you are unable to get any. That means you can be lonely in gathering, which is definitely a worst kind of thing.

Well, question automatically comes in mind: Are writers masochists? Do they love to offer themselves pain? If no then why do they write? Like a coin has two sides similarly writers also have. First let us talk about positive side:

  • It is actually a slow learning process: Indeed, learning is a slow process and a writer is a life time student who always tries to dig deeper into a soul and then express it with meaningful words.
  • It is a fun to write: Writing is always a part of imagination, concentration and getting better understanding about things so it is a fun to see your things written clearly and people appreciate you for this.
  • It is a way to remove loneliness: It is a big problem in everyone’s life and unfortunately we have no solution for it. Better change your focus from people to book and in the company of book one can never find loneliness.
  • It reminds of past and the present: We all agree that it is very difficult to analyze any situation and take the right decision. Better write the incidence and learn from it.
  • It helps to unload my life: Our experience is not always good and it is no good to share it with others so better write in your diary or unload yourself through creative writing.
  • It leaves legacy: There are several books which are more famous than their writers. It is a dream of every writer that propels their name and people remember him as the writer of that very unique book.
  • To discover the unknown: In our small life it is very important to learn new things and writing not just help the writer to discover new things or profound things but it also helps the readers to discover the unknown.

It is always wonderful to be connected with yourself and learn the magic that life holds but writing requires great patience and obsession. It is not easy to wait long to see everything, which was once in our mind, translated into words. This process of writing takes a lot of time from your life and keep you isolated and away from others so there are several negative sides faced by writers too:

  • It is insane to talk with your mind: A writer needs a time to be creative and think about his character so he can go deep into the psyche of his created character and sometimes it sound insane when there is no one around you and a writer is busy in thinking for long and talking in his head with his character.
  • It is difficult to live alone: it really sound interesting when we read that million copies were sold and interview, cover page stories are coming in newspapers and magazine as if you are a celebrity but writer is a loner.
  • It is difficult to match a match: people want company but writer needs lonely time then how wife who is supposed to live always with her husband can live when husband needs her or him just for while mostly busy in his creative world.
  • It is important to read: Add salt to injury, a writer must be a good reader first, which takes a lot of his time. Reading also gives ideas and a flow to his writing. The more information writer has the better will be his writing. So, writer loves reading.
  • It is difficult to be social: Socializing is a pain for writers. They just like to sit in a corner like any party pooper. They wall themselves and they invite depression and loneliness into their life. Study says writers suffer from depression ten to twenty times more than others.
  • It is not good to be obsessed: Obsession is not a good thing if you want to live a balanced normal life. But people who are obsessed with what they do are the people who are the best at what they do. They are always focused on their work and they are like a slave who is forced to work all the time.
  • It is no good to waste life like a slave: It is possible that one man is proved genius in his respective field but surely can be proved idiot in other ways. We all have one life to live and it is no wonder to pour out life in words and forget the actual life.

Life is a big choice how you want to live. Be sure about your abilities and hidden traist that are ready to transform your life. Life is just a journey and writing is one way to reach your own level of satisfaction. Try this!

Writing is lonely business

75

It is never an easy choice to be a writer in life no matter how many inborn abilities you have for writing. A writer must have a time to conceive an idea in his mind like a mother to deliver it on paper. It takes a lot of time and a lot of physical and mental exertion and the worst part is that it takes the writer into loneliness.

It is the allotted time when he thinks and concentrates on his ideas and gradually grows its ideas in a new world which is similar to this world and slowly he writes. And this capacity to create a new world through words is his biggest strength but it consumes his entire life.

No one knows at what point of time an idea sparks in his mind and continues to remain there and how actually it finds the flow in words and splays on papers.

Deciding for a career as a writer has never been easy and for me it can never be. I think it may have been an easy choice if I were from any privileged class but when you have to struggle for means of subsistence during the day and write at night then life is pretty unbelievable.

As writer’s loneliness has always sparked me and my thinking so my point of view on any subject was unacceptable to most of the people around me. I remained devoid of social interaction and majority of my time I have been sitting on my head as much as on my chair. It is no surprise that I lack opportunity to let on my mind with friends and others. This has always made me a thick hearted and thin skinned.

I feel a writer tries first to go into the shoes of the character and then understand their behavior and then comes to any conclusion. It becomes a part of their normal personality so much that it becomes difficult to take things for granted as mostly people do.

If any remark or behavior is found strange, a writer gives their outmost time to understand and in general, people never appreciate such behavior but a writer gilds there something unique into such character.

A writer lives with his character and in an artistic manner presents that character into his story. A writer knows well where exactly change his character and where to end his story. This skill differentiates one writer from another, although there are several other things that distinguish one writer from others.

Writing is just one element of storytelling. Another important part which works as a soul of the story is the way the characters are developed and presented. Actually this is the mark of a writer and it is not easy and not a one-day affair. It takes years to develop.

This is one of the most difficult things that creates a big trap and most writers including me feel hesitant to openly share their work.

A writer is very scared of showing his things as mostly the callous criticism makes the situation jump from the frying pan into the fire.  This adds frustration, anger and complains in life.

This actually poisons the life. Sometime it makes the story better, sometimes not but it increases the writer’s struggles and problems. It is mostly seen that writer’s family and friends have to bear his frustration and mood swings.

These hours of frustration and anger are mostly due to self-criticism, self-created mess as he fails to find the actual answer asked by readers. Sometimes it leads to depression. If you look around you can easily find some prominent writers whom Depression kept in its hold like Sylvia Plath, James Baldwin, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Leo Tolstoy, Tennessee Williams and many more.

Socrates once said:  “All good epic poets recite all their fine poems not by skill but because they are inspired and possessed . . . they are not in their right minds.”

I love to visit bookstores

untitled-infographic

Bookstores always fascinate me and whenever I get the time I like to be there. The hassle and bustle there always make me feel as if I am standing in the right place. I enjoy the ambience of that place. I love to see people busy at book shelves in order to find their favorite author’s books. It is really wonderful to see people standing long while reading as if their books have arrested them. Such involvement of readers could encourage any writer including me.

I often get a feel that this is the place where I belong. This is where my dream is hanging. I see the cover page, publisher’s name, design, paper, looks and what not. I get the feel that one day like this my books will also be coming in the market and people will read. To make this dream possible I should work.

I see how books are categorized as per their genre and sometime some fast selling books are on display to catch out eyes. Each time I see a new name and I get a feel that one day my novel will come here. I will be a writer.

Writing is a game to be mad. It is not easy. It is like probing your own wound again and again and making it bleed to write words. But bookstore makes me feel that I am not alone. If others have written and books one after another are coming, then why can’t I write.

Interesting, I pat my back and I happily walk to a bookstore. This place is like an energy store. I go there to gain energy and then work harder on my writing project.

Bookstores are the best place to know the different genre and their best-selling authors and which book is moving faster.

I get some opportunity to talk with the book sellers, book suppliers and readers. It is really great to have a face to face talk with them and they are in fact the rich vein for getting information as to what is happening in the world of books around us.

It is really good that bookstore looks are also changing with the change of time. Now some coffee shops are moving in and it is wonderful to flip pages of your author’s book while sipping your coffee.

Sometime I wonder how some people don’t like reading books. Study says reading for just six minutes is enough to reduce stress by 68%. Writing has wonderful good effect on our healthy living. It is found that writing helps people to reduce their distress level and even it helps in faster healing of their physical wounds.

It is also found that writing helps patients of several diseases like asthma, as it was found that those who write have fewer attacks; AIDS patients who write has higher T-Cell counts and Cancer patients have better optimistic perspectives and improved quality of life.

It is also seen that it is not necessary to become a writer or novelist but even small writing like blogging can help. It is seen that those who are given opportunity to write their emotional upheavals gain physical health too. They have changes in immune system so they don’t go to doctor very often.

This modern world of technology is changing fast. The looks of bookstores are also changing. Now we have online bookstores. Now we have reading devices and we can also read on our laptop and mobile. We have audio books. Now things have changed and improved a lot but the ambience of the bookstore and the way it enables me to be the writer is the best.

I’ve always dreamt about being a writer

80 (1)

I’ve always wanted to be a writer. Writing is to me like living in a new world which is similar but at the same time different from the one where I actually live. I always find a world in my mind, people talking and living in my head and pouring their emotions and experience as they do in real.

I like the life of a writer who lives like any other human and live with all kind of noises, smoke and combustion that comes from the regular struggle of life. He has to struggle with a range of emotions and possibilities and expectations in living with their dreams.

Life is never easy but documenting it in words has a pleasure of its own kind. Life is always throwing challenge and accepting this the way it comes is never as easy as it sounds. It definitely comes after a long learning mostly from the bad experience.

Writers have a sense of letting themselves in the shoes of other human and get into their heart and exercise their imagination to build a new world in their mind and then with words describe everything so naturally that their world created on the paper could easily be seen in the mind of their readers.

Writers are the persons who flow with the emotions and at the same time exercise their intelligence, intellect, imagination, folklores, scientific theories, historical evidences and people faiths and many such things which help develop their stories that transform a simple life’ story into a readable experience.

This world is full of violence, greed, lust, hunger, poverty, power, possession, exploitation and many more things that are around us, creating stories and shaping our life which often seems as if working on the mercy of our faith on God. God who has done nothing to anyone accept giving them faith to rebuild themselves against all odds. But unfortunately this world is divided in His name only. It is the writer who tries to see the world as one classroom and then learn to write his mind.

Writing helps to look into every slice of life, big as well as small, that create unique voice to the story and the best part is that they are interconnected as one leads to another range of incidences. These wonderful incidences bundle up with exciting adventures in life and generate a reader’s adventures that become a piece of their long reckoning memories.

Writing is nothing but the detailing of human capacity to love, forbearance, endeavour and the winning against the odds. We know that there is light after each tunnel but nobody knows how long this tunnel could be.

In the dark hours of life when you are so alone that only your words run in the mind and mind has no rest and no clear idea seems as the best one that can lead you out of this dark tunnel then anger, frustration and depression are very natural in life even at that piece of time when your writing help you and make your creativity sharpen and tunnel shorten.

At that time your writing is an escape that helps you meet with your imaginary friend and places but writing often unnerves your bygone past and sometimes it starts to bleed with your writing. Your writing operates your wounds and sooner than expected it heals your heart.

Steven king rightly said regarding writing: “A little talent is a good thing to have if you want to be a writer. But the only real requirement is the ability to remember every scar.”

How I started to write

Untitled Infographic

I always wanted to be a writer as everyone wants to be some or another thing in life. I find I have no means to be what I want to be. I want to write in English which is a second language for me. That means I have to work very hard to be at home in this language.

I read that writers are well travelled, highly educated, gained fast experience of life and mostly belongs to the rich background. Well, I have none of these elements.

One day while toying with my idea I suddenly feel that long traveling and a degree from big university doesn’t guarantee or give certificate for writing. It definitely helps but imagination is something that can bring a writer to unknown world as J.K Rowling did with her Harry Potter.

There are many students passing the best colleges every year but how many like to be a writer? To be a writer one must have passion, promise to be the one at all cost.

I found it very encouraging but encouragement was not the only thing I was looking for. I needed to ask myself, “Do I call my experiences as experiences fair enough to work on them?” I really felt clueless.

I found a small list of writers whom I liked and I had read. To increase the list, I would have to read and experiment with all types of writers. I wondered how they conceived their characters and made them alive through their words. Were they coming from imagination or experience?

I find a great limitation in expression. As one sentence can be expressed in many different ways which I may not have read in my grammar books. How can I decide that the one I have selected is the best one?

I must read a lot. Reading a novel 200 – 500 pages long is not an easy thing. I need time to read slowly to really catch everything from soup to nuts.

When I was a student, I had my course books, friends, games and many such small things to take care of and after study I have a job where I have to be all the time careful, watch out for back stabbers and irrespective of my job duties. So how to find time to read?

Reading a lot of novels always seems out of question. But without reading the books it is very difficult to know how writers are writing and what interest me.

I really needed to focus only on some selected good classical writers from England, France, USA, and India.  Indeed I need to read some difficult writers too and some fast selling writers too. I ought to read some books on craft and on skills of writing novel too.

Well, I concluded soon that all this would take me long enough to suck and swallow the entire life.

I felt frustrating. I felt that half of the life is spoiled by correcting grammar and having the right sense of language and other half is spoiled by reading.

I found no place to draw the line thus far and no further. I read what was available to me. I believe the Spanish Proverb- “Those who want to sing always find a song.”

I read books and in the mean while I worked at several places just to support my living and support my dream. I spent a lot of money to buy books and I was burning midnight oil to read them.

I continued to dream and in the mean while I noticed that half of my hair left my head and the rest turned white. I didn’t secure any high position in the company and my experiences were mostly filled with dissatisfaction, frustration, depression, sleepless night and friendless life.

Probably it was the best time to start my novel and I started …

Writer’s creativity and imagination

76

It often happens to me that my mind is full and I am mentally busy. I feel that I am like a honey bee and I am ready to sit anywhere very quietly and see where my ideas want me to go. I am not sure how one idea gets connected with others and take my mind to ponder and I feel my creative impulse is ready to work

Actually this world is big playground for my mind. Somewhere there I get an impulse from any image over which my imagination works. Arranging one image to another, imagination over imagination, I start to work. I always consider that there is a relation between image and imagination. Imagination gives wings to image and in a solitary silence conceive a new world which I pen down.

In other words, realities of others and experiences of mine inspire me to write. Writing sometimes seems like bleeding, as if I am wounded and my blood is sweeping from my heart and I am writing in a flow. It is really painful process to find the words that can carry the weight of your pain and let you feel unloaded. Words mean medicine. Words mean healing and transforming the pain into a magic.

I really fail to keep the sense since when I have been writing and suddenly I feel to leave my sitting place in want of some fresh air as if after too much bleeding my body is missing lifesaving air.

Walking alone in this world, I beg to ask myself: Am I really walking with my head on my shoulders? Sometimes I think: No, I am only walking with my imagination. My body is moving and mind continues to think on and on subjects which were bleeding me, which took away all the necessary oxygen of my life. This walking may not have refreshed me but allows me to write further.

Again I am back on my seat to write some more and more and sometimes I write the whole day and lose my sleep. The next day I feel like a ghost. A demon is really punishing me – neither killing me nor leaving me.

I think this is what happens with every writer and each writer finds himself or herself being a ghost and waiting to be normal again and then get busy in just typing fast all those fast running thoughts.

A writer has so much to write from the unknown sources. He is always busy, something is connecting him towards an unknown world. Where he has to write genuine dialogue as naturally as if two persons talk. He has to describe a place one has probably never visited or seen before.

A writer is living and dying with his own characters. In his mind nothing really looks normal. In fact, he needs nothing to be normal. His eyes are watching and fingers are typing and only a self-created world is exiting between those two.

Living a life of an artist is not simple. Life is demanding rest, peace, fun, adventure, enjoyment, family and friends. To neglect them all one has to be spell bound in the world of his own created characters. Of course this doesn’t guarantee any appreciation, let alone money and respect.

Time is running, body is demanding urgent attention and eyes are still busy in seeing those unknown characters that are living deep down in the soul.

Tips for better writing

Untitled Infographic1

Every one of us is a dreamer, a future planner, a gossiper, a story-teller, and a writer, because human are born and grown in such an environment where story is hanging in thin air but the only difference that split us into two groups is that some bear the pain of writing what one has conceived and some just keep it in their mind and never write, but they can be a good thinker or reader.

Writing is not as easy as it sounds while reading about it. After all it is the sum of total effort and imagination of a writer so it sounds simple but the process of chiseling and developing a matter into a story is always difficult and heart rendering. It is always a pain. It always requires a racy imagination constantly working on a matter and gradually it develops into a story. This constant working requires a system, a methodical brain apart from your passion, devotion. It requires daily practice, patience and time to sit long hours for research and analyzing things.

Writing is an art and a science as well. It needs classroom study and certain ways to learn things to get the desired result. And like all arts it also takes time to grow and develop. Observing things in, within and around really helps you to understand and that feeds your imagination and concurrently reading habits of other writers help in owning this skill better. In fact writing is just half done in absence of reading well. Both are needed to maintain a balance.

A new writer often thinks that he has a story in mind and he can go on writing in a way he likes but once your character gets its shape or form then it becomes a person and gets its free will and then lives within the page on its own way then it can go out of your hand and out of control of your imagination. Your character then needs time, understanding and keen observation of his or her psychology and behavior. Only then you find that you can do him justice. So it is always better to keep on reading and strengthen your mind with good reservoir of imagination and beautiful tinge of language. It is important to read and re-read and read versatile to sharpen your taste buds of writing and love for better world which is made up only through your words. Always remember reading is the best tool that helps your writing the most.

Writing is a gradual process and finding a unique style of writing and narration is something that every writer must adapt. Actually it is the mark of his or her identity. No matter if the name of your favorite writer is written on the cover page of the book or not but a reader can identify the writer from uniqueness of his writing style. Each writer has their own ways of writing and developing your own ways and style is always a challenge but your writing style is nothing but an amalgamation of the stuff which you have read or you have been reading for long. Indeed your personal experience and observation matters a great deal but in owing your unique style your reading habit plays a vital role.

It is always beneficial to start after reading some good writers and experience the gamut of your personal life then start writing your stuff. It will help you and help your imagination.

There is always a difference between a great and a good writer. Better read both and adapt the qualities that you find the best for you. List of great writers are endless. If you can’t wait to read all or most of them, then better read as much as you can. And of course pay attention to creative writing courses and books which can help you in understanding the format and right technics for your writing.

Writing is a habit, a discipline where you are wording your imaginative world on paper or your digital device. Once you have written all then it is very important to re-read, proof read and edit if required. After doing all this your manuscript is ready. It is good if you find someone who is ready to read or keep it closed for some time then re-read it and soon you will find your mistakes, weakness and then you need to make changes.

It is always good to get help from professional like proof reader and editor who can do justice to your hard labor then finally your book comes into picture.

Signals of a writer hidden within you

pizap.com14450166320801

Everyone who has been to school and college knows reading, writing and speaking and presently everyone has to write some or another thing. So does it mean every one is a writer? It is always a challenge to first know and then tell others that you are a writer in your soul. One has to know the sign and recognize that one is a writer at heart. Such sign is often disturbing because in every society it is considered abnormal. Now it wouldn’t be amiss if I say that If God was giving ghosts then writers were the first to accept. I say so only because writers can talk long with their unseen friends and can get connected with several other unknown and from there get motivated and get inspired. Writes can see the places and people who are not normally seen by ordinary people. They have a habit of seeing things in a special way that connects them with their ghostly friends and they talk and finally they sit to write long.

  • A writer never lives alone: There are many memories and characters living at his address, all in his small head and each talk with one another.
  • A writer is a gypsy at heart: It is very difficult to follow rules made by others.
  • A writer never has his first concern with Grammar: It is very strange thing to say but it is true that writer and poet can never look at his work first from grammar point of view. The most important thing for a writer is to finish all what is in his mind.
  • A write is always a good reader too: I really don’t mean to say that writers have to be good readers first and restrict them to reading books only. I mean they can read in between the lines better and can even read a person better and can connect or mix one character with another.
  • A writer just loves to write: No matter if his writing can drag him to penury but he can’t stop writing. He can bear all but can’t compromise with his writing.
  • A writer feels like missing something important if he is not writing: As it is well known writing takes a long time to become a full time profession so young or new writer writes while working but he surely tries to get time to write. But if he misses he always feels that he is missing his normal course of action in life.
  • A writer mediates on his writing: When a writer is writing his full focus is only on the writing and so he forgets for how long he is working and how long he would work further. He is just pouring out his mind on paper and flowing with his imagination.
  • A writer’s mind never stops: It is very strange but true: his mind is always occupied with new ideas and in new ways of telling and expressing his matters.
  • A writer is always ready for his criticism: Criticism is a like praise for a writer. If he writes something and none got stirred and none showed any reaction for or against then he will always feel oppressed as if his writing was not worth a while.
  • A writer always relishes reading the good writers: Reading any truly brilliant written work of any writer inspires him to write better. He appreciates and loves to learn. He never gets jealous.
  • A writer is a good story teller: Often it is seen that a writer is a good story teller because he first feels his characters then speaks.
