Tequila is an alcoholic drink made from a plant called blue agave, discovered in 18th century. This plant grows in the Mexican state Jalisco – mainly around city called Tequila, and some surrounding areas. The agaves harvested in highlands are sweeter in comparison to the ones from lowlands. Tequila is distilled from juice which is taken from the heart of plant which is first peeled, roasted and then crushed.
